MÜSİAD UK Chairwoman and women members attended the “Women in Technology and Science” panel held at the Residence of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in London. The event was organised in cooperation with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and hosted by H.E. Osman Koray Ertaş.

Senior representatives from diplomacy, academia, public institutions and the private sector participated in the programme. Distinguished attendees included H.E. Berris Ekinci, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, and the UK’s Trade Envoy to Türkiye.

Among the speakers, Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy was previously honoured with the “Power of Academia” Award at the 34th Anniversary Ceremony of MÜSİAD. The award was presented on 9 May 2024 by Mehmet Fatih Kacır in recognition of her international contributions to polar sciences and Türkiye’s pioneering role in Arctic and Antarctic scientific expeditions. As MÜSİAD UK, we were delighted to meet her again at this event in London.
