MÜSİAD UK Chairwoman, Av. Türkan Akbaş, participated in a special UK–Türkiye Trade Dialogue roundtable held at the House of Commons, hosted by MP Tahir Ali, President of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Türkiye (APCC), alongside leaders of prominent Turkish civil society organisations.

Advancing Trade and Business Representation

During the meeting, Ms Akbaş highlighted the pivotal role that MÜSİAD UK plays in representing the Turkish business community in the UK. She particularly emphasised the association’s contributions to the ongoing modernisation of the UK–Türkiye Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and its proactive engagement within both Parliamentary platforms and the wider British business ecosystem.

Invitation to House of Lords Roundtable

Ms Akbaş also extended an invitation to attending Members of Parliament to join MÜSİAD UK’s upcoming roundtable to be held at the House of Lords on 25 June 2025, titled:
“Business Without Barriers: Removing Obstacles in UK–Türkiye Trade.”

This forthcoming event aims to facilitate open dialogue and propose actionable solutions to strengthen bilateral commercial ties.
