2026 opened with a strong start for MÜSİAD UK. On January 8, during T.C. Trade Minister Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat’s visit to the UK as part of the JETCO meetings, a roundtable was held in collaboration with DEİK, bringing together representatives from several leading companies and business associations in the UK.
The meeting was attended by MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir and MÜSİAD UK Chairwoman Av. Türkan Akbaş, where participants shared their challenges and proposed solutions. On behalf of MÜSİAD UK, Av. Türkan Akbaş presented the Minister with a report outlining the issues faced by Turkish businesspeople operating in the UK, along with suggested solutions.
Minister Bolat addressed each topic in the report and expressed that he will follow up on the work with due diligence.
MÜSİAD UK remains committed to being the voice of its members, representing their concerns and proposals.
