I am Waleed Malik, CEO of BusRoute and Easefix, and I am honoured to be selected as a Board Member of MÜSİAD.
I have never believed in building a career by standing still. My journey has been shaped by curiosity, discipline and a relentless drive to create value through innovation, operational excellence and strategic leadership.
Over the past decade, I have worked across some of the world’s most demanding and fast moving sectors, including venture capital, combined heat and power, bespoke and high volume manufacturing, oil and gas, dairy and aerospace. Each industry has contributed to my understanding of how businesses grow, adapt and succeed in increasingly competitive markets.
Today, I lead two rapidly growing businesses that are transforming their respective industries. BusRoute has become one of the UK’s leading coach and minibus hire platforms, simplifying group transportation for businesses, schools, event organisers and private groups nationwide.
Easefix has grown into a nationwide property maintenance and facilities management platform, providing businesses and property owners with fast, reliable access to over 40 trades through a network of more than 8,500 vetted tradespeople and 150 responsive units across the UK. With nationwide coverage, rapid response times, industry leading service guarantees and a proven ability to reduce maintenance costs by up to one third, Easefix has established itself as a trusted partner for organisations seeking efficiency, reliability and value.
What began as ambitious local ventures has grown into multi-million pound businesses serving clients across the UK and internationally.
Through innovation, operational excellence and an unwavering focus on customer experience, we have built trusted brands that support thousands of customers and work with organisations ranging from SMEs to large enterprises. Seeing these businesses expand from startups into nationally recognised brands with international clients has been one of the most rewarding achievements of my career.
As CEO, I lead with a clear purpose: building organisations that are innovative, scalable and capable of delivering meaningful impact. For me, leadership is not simply about holding a title. It is about taking responsibility, making difficult decisions, inspiring people and creating environments where talented individuals can thrive. I believe sustainable growth happens when strategy, technology, people and execution operate in complete alignment.
My professional background combines technical expertise with commercial leadership, allowing me to approach challenges from multiple perspectives. Throughout my career, I have led initiatives involving financial analysis, CAPEX planning, automation, cost reduction, lean implementation, analytics, project management, CAD modelling, procurement negotiations and production planning. This breadth of experience has enabled me to drive operational improvements while maintaining a strong focus on long term business growth.
My academic and professional qualifications reflect a commitment to continuous development and lifelong learning. I hold an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School, alongside an MSc and BEng. I am a Chartered Manager and Member of the Chartered Management Institute, a PMP-certified professional, a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, PRINCE2 certified and a certified Lean Implementer. These achievements are not simply credentials; they represent years of discipline, professional growth and a belief that excellence is achieved through consistent effort and continuous improvement.
Being selected as a Board Member of MÜSİAD is a proud and meaningful milestone in my journey. It presents an opportunity to contribute to a broader business community, support strategic collaboration and help shape discussions on innovation, investment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth. I see this role as both an honour and a responsibility; one that allows me to share experience gained from building successful businesses, while supporting initiatives that create lasting value for entrepreneurs, organisations and communities.
