Dr. Murat Bayizit is a Turkish entrepreneur, food engineer, agricultural economist, and international trade specialist with more than 25 years of experience in the food industry and global commerce. Throughout his professional career, he has combined technical expertise, academic knowledge, and practical business leadership to develop successful ventures and foster international trade relationships across multiple regions of the world.
Holding a degree in Food Engineering and a PhD in Agricultural Economics, Dr. Bayizit has built a distinguished career at the intersection of food production, agriculture, international trade, and economic development. His expertise spans food supply chains, agricultural economics, food security, export development, and market access strategies, making him a recognised voice within both industry and business organisations.
In 2004, he co-founded Kaledonya, a company that has grown into one of Türkiye’s respected suppliers of frozen fruits and vegetables. Under his leadership, Kaledonya has established long-term commercial partnerships with customers throughout Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and other international markets. The company’s success has been built on a commitment to quality, innovation, sustainability, and strong business ethics.
Dr. Bayizit is also the Managing Director of Tioga Foods Ltd, based in the United Kingdom. Through Tioga Foods, he focuses on connecting international food manufacturers with UK and European buyers while supporting businesses seeking market entry, distribution development, and strategic growth opportunities. His work has enabled companies from different countries to expand their international reach and establish sustainable commercial partnerships.
Alongside his business activities, Dr. Bayizit has devoted considerable time to institutional leadership and economic diplomacy. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Assembly of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, one of Türkiye’s largest and most influential chambers of commerce. He also serves as Chairman of the Foreign Trade Council, where he contributes to strengthening Türkiye’s export capacity, supporting internationalisation efforts, and developing commercial cooperation with global markets.
As Vice President responsible for Diplomatic Relations at MÜSİAD UK, Dr. Bayizit actively works to enhance business and economic ties between the United Kingdom and Türkiye. His responsibilities include engagement with diplomatic missions, government institutions, chambers of commerce, universities, investors, and business leaders. Through these relationships, he supports initiatives that encourage trade, investment, entrepreneurship, and cross-border collaboration.
