Biography

Rohema Miah is a seasoned Political Advisor and Public Relations specialist with over 25 years of experience in the UK parliamentary landscape. She has served in advisory roles for Ministers and various Members across both the House of Commons and the House of Lords.

Currently, she serves as Vice Chairwoman for Diplomatic Relations and Vice Chairwoman for Export Development & Corporate Relations on the Board of MÜSİAD United Kingdom. In these roles, she plays a strategic part in shaping international outreach, commercial diplomacy, and corporate partnerships.

Rohema is one of the Founding Directors of the UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce and Industry (UKBCCI) and currently holds the position of Director of International Trade Affairs. She also serves as Senior Vice President of FaceMarkets UK and Chief Co-ordinator of the Better Bangladesh Foundation UK.

She has coordinated numerous high-profile diplomatic, trade and commercial visits to Bangladesh, and has led the organisation of major conferences and international trade fairs, including the UK–Bangladesh E-commerce Fair and the African & Caribbean Business Expo.

A respected international speaker and consultant to local, national and global organisations, Rohema Miah frequently addresses topics such as advocacy, human rights, women’s empowerment, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). She previously served as Director of the Commission on British Muslims and Islamophobia, and as Policy and Development Officer at the Centre of Muslim Affairs.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Rohema continues to hold several positions within the charity and voluntary sector. She has initiated and led various interfaith and community development projects. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the title of Ambassador for Peace by a United Nations-recognised organisation.
