Visit from MÜSİAD İngiltere to the Mayor of Elbistan.
MÜSİAD İngiltere President Av. Türkan Akbaş visited Elbistan Mayor Erkan Gürbüz at his office and discussed the district’s reconstruction, economic development and investment potential.
During the visit, MÜSİAD’s work in Elbistan following the 6 February earthquakes was discussed. Having delivered humanitarian aid to the region and provided material and moral support from the first day of the earthquake, MÜSİAD also contributed to meeting the shelter needs of disaster survivors through the container city it established.
MÜSİAD İngiltere President Av. Türkan Akbaş stated that rebuilding Elbistan is a shared responsibility not only of public institutions but also of the business community, adding that, as the MÜSİAD family, they are ready for all forms of cooperation that will contribute to the district’s economic development.
The meeting included an exchange of views on new areas of investment that could be brought to Elbistan, projects aimed at increasing employment, and potential cooperation with the international business community.
Av. Türkan Akbaş stated that they greatly appreciated the post-earthquake efforts undertaken by Elbistan Mayor Erkan Gürbüz and said that they would continue to contribute to the city’s redevelopment process.
As MÜSİAD İngiltere, it will continue to contribute to Elbistan’s future through projects supporting production, investment and employment; it will also resolutely continue its efforts to develop strong cooperation between the business community and local authorities.
